Two other wins at Revenu Québec

Corporate performance management and business intelligence project

Revenu Québec (MRQ) has engaged DMR to conduct a corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence (BI) project. The project, worth close to $5 million, involves implementing an integrated accounts receivable system (SICAR). Built working closely with the Accounting Systems Department and the MRQ’s data processing center – for which DMR is currently doing some upgrade work –, SICAR will optimize accounts receivable, reengineer posting and improve management and tracking information.

SICAR is directly tied to SIRE, the integrated revenue system built by DMR in 2008 and a finalist in the 2009 OCTAS awards. Partnering with IBM Cognos, our consultants will implement IBM Cognos Planning solutions and ensure they interact with IBM Cognos Controller, which was implemented as part of SIRE.

The MRQ has entrusted DMR’s BI and CPM experts and its business and IT integrators specializing in accounting (CA and CMA) to conduct this major project.

Massive scanning project

DMR will also be coaching the MRQ with its Scanning and Automated Character Recognition project. The $1 million project will allow the MRQ to electronically process more forms, so it will considerably reduce the massive entry of both handwritten and printed tax returns and, by the same token, their processing time. Once again, the MRQ has confirmed its trust in DMR to conduct a major project.
