DMR-Fujitsu finalist for Maurice Pollack Award

As a finalist for the Maurice Pollack Award, DMR-Fujitsu was given a certificate of honor by Quebec’s Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities, Ms. Yolande James, at the Quebec Citizenship Awards ceremony, held last May 31 in Montreal.

This is the second consecutive year that DMR-Fujitsu has been a finalist for the Maurice Pollack Award in the Private Sector Businesses or Organizations category. This honorable mention underscores the efforts the company has made to welcome, integrate and promote ethnocultural diversity in the workplace, as well as to promote equal opportunity employment for Quebecers coming from cultural communities and visible minorities.

With close to 20% of its 900 Quebec City employees representing 28 different nationalities, DMR-Fujitsu is aware of the value that cultural diversity plays in Quebec’s economic future. It has a reputation for recruiting and integrating employees coming from immigration, particularly for producing tools to make it easier for them to fit in professionally.

Remember that DMR-Fujitsu has twice won the Entreprise du monde award, once in the 31 employees et plus category and once in the Intégration de la relève category, handed out at the Un monde à faire awards evening organized by Chambre de commerce de Québec.

Since 1997, the Quebec Citizenship Awards—Maurice Pollack Award, Jacques Couture Award, Anne Greenup Award and Charles Biddle Award—have been given by the Government of Quebec to people or businesses and organizations to recognize their commitment and contribution to making Quebec a pluralistic, inclusive society where it is good to live together.
