Quebec City’s Jean-Lesage International Airport chose Multipro and DMR’s Remote Development Center to convert its Airport Security Management System. The project involved 185 p-d of effort.
The application managing security at the airport (access cards, passes, keys, drivers licenses) ran on an outdated technology, FoxPro, which had become hard to upgrade. Consequently, DMR Remote Development Center consultants converted the application to .NET and took the opportunity to improve the ergonomics and interfaces, as well as introduce various processes such as e-signature, digital photo, plasticized card, etc.
This project chose an iterative development approach making use of Agile practices, which allowed the customer to closely monitor the project’s progress. Also, since the work was done on RDC premises, the customer got a competitive rate.
