Quebec's Ministry of Justice (MJQ) has chosen DMR to conduct the project to maintain and upgrade its violation and fine collection system (Système de gestion des infractions et de perception des amendes - SGIPA). The contract is expected to last until March 2012.
DMR will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading SGIPA, the system it designed, built and implemented over the past few years. The work to be done involves mainly monitoring operation of the system in production and making changes or improvements requested by the system's internal and external users.
SGIPA provides a consolidated view of an offender's record regardless of which branch of the Violations and Fines Office (Bureau des infractions et amendes) is involved, in real time. It also allows citizens to get information on their records, make a payment or negotiate an overall settlement agreement online. The Réseau ACTION TI recognized the excellence of SGIPA in 2005 by awarding it an OCTAS in the Business Solution category.
DMR is pleased to have this opportunity to continue collaborating with the MJQ and to help enhance the system it so proudly developed.
