A veritable geomatics revolution, GOcité is the first municipal infrastructure management package designed by and for cities. This unique tool can centralize georeferenced data so they are easier to analyze and process.
A philosophy of collaboration
GOcité technology is the outcome of collaboration among six municipalities: Sherbrooke, Longueuil, Victoriaville, Thetford Mines, Saint-Laurent and Saint-Eustache. These cities pooled their expertise and partnered with the private sector to build a geographic information system (GIS) truly tailored to their needs.
GOcité lets cities better manage applications by integrating georeferenced data:
Technology and functions
Based on technology from ESRI, the global leader in geographic information system software, GOcité provides a proven and expandable normalized data model that fits transparently in any system. It supports market standard database management systems, particularly Oracle and SQL Server, the Windows operating system and Windows and Solaris server components.
